Amplify+ Adjustable Gain Preamplifier for Professionals

$99.00

Overview

Amplify+ is intended for outdoor professional use, including multi-dwelling units and commercial applications. The product provides separate UHF and VHF inputs for two-antenna, band-specific installations, as well as a switchable FM trap.  (When installing a splitter with this amplifier it must be a power passing splitter, most common splitters will not pass power.)

Amplify+ is an outdoor preamplifier designed for mast-mounting with the TV antenna(s). Professional installers may choose options for High gain, Low gain, FM signal blocking and band-specific dual antenna use if required.

Unlike the consumer-ready Amplify product, Amplify+ does not include a USB powering option for indoor use.

Outdoor Heavy-Duty Housing

Amplify+ is constructed of a die-cast metal housing with weatherproof ports to support outdoor installations in extreme weather conditions.

Adjustable Amplification

Amplify+ provides adjustable settings that allow the installer to select the appropriate gain required for a specific installation scenario, eliminating the potential issues encountered from either too much or too little gain. The internal switch can be placed at either a High or Low setting.

Adjustable FM Trap

Amplify+ provides a trap mechanism to block unwanted FM Radio signals from FM-enabled commercial TV antennas, which can cause interference with UHF and VHF television signals. Pass-through of FM signals can be enabled or disabled via an internal switch.

LTE Filtering

Like the consumer-ready Amplify product, Amplify+ provides 3G/4G/5G LTE signal filtering. The proliferation of LTE signal towers and connected LTE devices are a growing cause of intermittent disruption of over-the-air broadcast television signals. These disruptions can result in weak signals, pixelation or even channel loss, and can be especially disruptive when an amplifier is used with a TV antenna.

it helped

We are about 65 miles from the transmitters. We were experiencing signal loss quite a bit. I had purchased and installed the CM7777777777 or something or other, some years back. Not really sure why it stopped working, but it did. I installed the new one and it even picked up about 10 more channels on the scan. We now get 91 channels of which we watch maybe 10 different channels. I cut off cable about 12 years ago due to their price going up and up. DirecTV and the others get you started with a low monthly cost for 12 months and then the cost just keeps going up from there. Now with the new splitter installed we get the same channels in all the rooms. Thank you Channel Master for the help. I also use TIVO and it used to be great but now it seems to be nothing but a pain in the butt. Picture with no sound or sound with no picture nearly everyday. Have to reboot over and over! what's up with that?

Improved my signal

Bought the CM-7778HD to replace a CM-7779HD because I needed to add a VHF antenna to my current antenna. Combined the antenna's and set the amplifier's gain to high setting and I am happy with the results. I have noticed an improvement in the VHF signal and the UHF works as before. To me Channel Master and Televes make the best antenna products.

More than what I expected.

I have a ClearStream MAX-V HDTV Antenna in my attic. ~50 miles away from the broadcast towers in Washington DC and over the Bull Run Mountains. I get about 80 channels (some of which I probably won't watch) but it works fantastic. The ClearStream has only two short VHF elements, but I can still get the VHF channels clearly. I might add my old school VHF antenna and split the UHF and VHF signals and see if that makes any difference.
My only issue is that the bracket to hold the amplifier on the ClearStream post isn't large enough for the ClearStream post. Maybe some wire ties will work.
Thanks Channel Master.Great job and I can recommend this product to anybody.

Works as Advertised

Easy to install and works, thankfully, as Channel Master says it will. Very stable signals on the weaker channels now that were intermittent. Watched for hours with no dropouts whatsoever.

So Far So Good

Have had my CM 7778 for several years and use with a CM 4 way amplified splitter 30-ft away. So far it's worked well plus extremely well made and doesn't run nearly as warm as some other brands making it safer in an attic. The medium setting works best for me and even provides enough power that I'm able to run an extra 20-ft line to my neighbor's so they can tap into my system. Also helped end my interference problems from 2 nearby ham radios and jet communications. I'm guessing too I have less distortion in my line compared to a regular pre-amp that runs to a UHF/VHF combiner because it removes the need for that extra connection.
