Product Information
Overview
A power inserter is used to back feed power to the preamplifier/distribution amplifier through one of the RF output ports. This allows the preamplifier/distribution amplifier to be mounted at a location where power is not available. Replacement power supply for Channel Master pre-amplifiers and distribution amplifiers. This power inserter is compatible with models, CM-7777v3, CM-7778v3, CM-7778HD, CM-3410, CM-3412, CM-3414 and CM-3418, CM-3411, CM-3422, CM-3424, and CM-3428.
The output port that is used to back feed power is usually marked as RF Out/DC In or something similar. It is important that if the power inserter is used that it is installed correctly. The 7777XPI power inserter has markings on the label to show the correct way to connect the cables. The side marked “To Amp” should never be connected to the TV. This port will have 12VDC on it, and it is possible that older TVs can be damaged by that voltage. Newer TVs should be protected, but not all may be protected.
In most installations, it will not be necessary to use the power inserter. If the distribution amplifier is mounted near a power outlet, the power inserter isn’t needed since the distribution amplifier can be plugged directly into the wall outlet.
There are no performance advantages to using the power inserter – it is only used to allow the unit to be remotely powered when the distribution amplifier can’t be located near a power outlet.

Well they sent wrong item first time. But quickly corrected it and sent what I ordered Thanks
We lost channes and I saw the green light wasn't on for the amp I ordered a new power inserter and it works now
Much better than the last model I had.
Thank you again for straightening out the shipping problem, & getting my order to me in a timely manner.
I needed another power inserted because the one I was using stopped working. I'm pretty sure it stopped working because of nearby lightning strikes. I'm grounding everything I can from the antenna to the televisions.
