Heeding this feedback, our team of design engineers and industry analysts determined a need for a professional quality TV antenna leveraging the signal reception performance and manufacturing quality of our traditional antenna designs including enhancements making it more aesthetically pleasing and smaller in size. The Channel Master Pro-Model antenna brings together the best of our most popular professional antenna models along with a compact and sleek profile, satisfying even the most meticulous homeowner association. Reception Range up to 70 Miles from Broadcast Towers
Competitor TV antennas typically claim anywhere from 50 to 250-mile reception ranges; however, they are rarely tested and confirmed to receive signals from these distances. The Channel Master Pro-Model antenna was designed in the US and tested approximately 70 miles from the Phoenix, Arizona broadcast towers and confirmed to receive excellent signal reception from all major broadcast networks. In addition, the Pro-Model antenna underwent comprehensive beta-testing in multiple different locations across the US. The beta tests were performed by a list of strategically selected Channel Master Authorized Dealers with years of experience installing, maintaining and repairing TV antenna systems.
Optimized for UHF and VHF Frequencies
The new Pro-Model antenna is designed to optimize the recent “Post Repack” frequencies up to 608MHz. Eliminating the need to receive frequencies above 608MHz allowed significant improvements to the primary frequencies, maximizing reception and minimizing the overall size. The Pro-Model antenna has impressive realized passive gain across both UHF and VHF bands up to 9.7dB.
Upgradeable - Built for the Future
The Pro-Model antenna's design includes a modular approach ideal for areas requiring additional gain or future applications when broadcasters re-arrange broadcast signals and/or frequencies. Element sections can be attached improving the reception (gain) of VHF frequencies, UHF frequencies or both. In addition to upgradability, the modular design enables the antenna to be repaired by making antenna elements replaceable. When VHF and UHF extensions are added to the base Pro-Model antenna, 2dB to 10dB increases in realized passive gain can be achieved respectively by frequency.
Built to Last
As with all Channel Master products, the quality of materials and product craftsmanship is our highest priority. The Pro-Model is assembled and packaged at Channel Master's Chandler, Arizona corporate headquarters. The antenna boom and elements are made from high-quality 6061 and 6063 aluminum and extruded, cut and drilled in the United States. The Pro-Model's design is intended to reduce the amount of plastic required; however, for a few plastic parts on the antenna, they are injection molded locally from high-quality UV resistant ASA and PVC materials.
Specifications
Installed Channel Master's recommendation and am getting 82 channels from about 70 miles away. Antennae is much smaller than what I thought would be required and while Channel Master's recommendation was an outside install, I installed mine in the attic. With the amplifier it is working better than I had hoped. Very pleased with the performance.
Excellent customer service with Carrie over the phone, as well as other reps on pre-sales tech questions. I installed the antenna in my attic, even though it was recommended by them to install outdoors to get optimal signal. (installing in attic can degrade the signal.)It was also suggested that I buy a pre-amp due to installing in the attic. So I bought a pre-amp as well, but the antenna worked so well, so far I don't even need the pre-amp! Very impressed all around so far! I'll hold on to the pre-amp just in case. I only have the antenna installed several days. I am receiving 77 over the air channels with just my TV. When I added a Tablo, I get 174 channels. (Tablo has up to 130 channels built in.)
Each location, distance from the towers, interference, the way the antenna is pointed can affect the signal. So make sure you research and position antenna correctly for your situation. One Antenna doesn't fit all. Ask before buying which antenna would fit your needs the best.
This antenna for sure has the solid build/design quality you would want to install on roof so that you never have to worry about it again. It’s clearly engineered to have strength, be light weight, but especially really easy to assemble and install. I’m an engineer and I can see when a product has been engineered. This was so nice and straight forward to assemble and install. No question that this antenna is worth the money. And with the signal app on my phone I was able to point the antenna straight at the signal towers so I was able to get clear, strong signals on 88 channels. Very happy with this Channel Master antenna !
I ordered 3 other antennae before I received this one. It was, by far, the easiest to assemble. Others felt cheap and cost less but the difference in quality was immediately obvious when I assembled it. And it was easy to assemble as they marked every piece with a letter to correspond with a place on the boom. Finally, I it delivers a great picture and pulls in more channels than I need or would watch. I highly recommend it if it will fit your needs based on terrain and distance from the broadcast towers.
I've installed a bunch of ota antennas that were not Channel Master. Once I came across this and installed for the first time, I won't go to any other. On this system, it improved the channel signal -for the channels I checked - from mid-70s to the mid 80s to 90s on the Tivo box. Absolutely worth the extra $$ to not lose picture just because the weather changed.
