5 of 5 Medium Gain Preamp Works! December 28, 2019
Reviewer: Jon K. from Ames, Iowa
We were using the original two-lead antenna wire and antenna installed in the attic that I assume were installed circa 1960.  I thought it would work great due to the size and location of the antenna but had pixelation issues on a few channels.  I called channel master customer support and they recommended replacing the two-pair wire with coax.  I replaced the run with 50 foot of coax up to the antenna, but Channel 5 and 17 would still fuzz out.  I was even using a different manufactuers amp at the tv.  I contacted CM customer support again and they suggested the medium gain preamp.  Once installed it boosted all of the flakey channels and also serves to filter out cell tower interference.  All channels works great now and my wife is happy she can now record the shows on the previously bad channels. :)

This amplifier is great for strengthening signals in already strong areas. I tried this model and it worked much better than the cm 7777 for me.

Was easy to install, works great. Now i can use a smaller antenna on my roof that birds cant roost on. Had a large antenna that worked good, but birds roosted on it and messed up roof. The only additional things i had to get were 2 short co axial cables.

5 of 5 Medium Gain Pre-amp GREAT for antenna-TV March 22, 2019

I live in a small town about 25 miles west of downtown Atlanta. Of course all the major TV transmitters are on the east side of Atlanta (50-60 miles). I had an old Archer pre-amp that did OK, but this new CM Medium Gain unit now brings in more channels and with more clear resolution.
