We just received the antenna last week...put it up immediately...exceptionally easy...we live in a wooded area & the reception is not at all marred by the trees...been looking for a good antenna for our area for years...found it...thanks.

Solid Performer September 15, 2015
Reviewer: Paul Degges from Brentwood, Tennessee
I have been using a roof mounted antenna for over 25 years. After replacing my roof, I relocated the old antenna and suffered some wind damage to it. After a little research, I decided on the CM 5018. It is some what smaller than my old unit, but it's construction is a much higher quality. After installing it and replacing the coaxial cable, I am receiving 37 channels (24 which I watch) with no digital breakup even during heavy winds and/or rain storms. A significant improvement in signal quality over the old antenna. I am not using any amplifiers either.\nI am between 5 and 26 miles from the broadcast towers. With a amp I could probably reach other TV markets and bring in more stations, but they would probably be network repeats. If it could only have installed itself.
Update: Tree fell on the house and broke support pole in half. I replaced pole and straightened a couple of the heavy duty aerials and re installed. It still worked even when dangling off of the side of the house.

lightweight and still solid January 20, 2014
Reviewer: Bob Davis from Redmond, WA
Much more solid and easier to work with than cheaper antennas.  All elements snap into place with very firm plastic clamping connectors.  Picks up more stations from a lower height than smaller or cheaper antennas.\n\nProduct box plus shipping box are very long but surprisingly lightweight.  Double boxing was a great way to protect the antenna during shipment.

Channel Master antenna model # 5018 November 16, 2013
Reviewer: Bruce Robinson from Weaverville,NC
I decided to get rid of my cable, as I was paying right at 80 dollars a month for only 3 or 4 channels that I watched on a regular basis, and a couple of those channels were OTA channels, so I knew from past experience with Channel Master products that that was definitely the route that I wanted to take.  I live in a very mountainous area of western NC, and all of the antenna websites that I visited stated that I would only be able to get 4 channels, but they were the ones that I primarily watched anyway, so I finally settled on the Channel Master antenna model #5018.  Wow, what a surprise when I hooked it up and did a channel scan and actually received 8 channels, and that's without a pre-amp and about a seventy foot run of coax!!  I may add a pre-amp at some later point in time, but for now, I am completely satisfied with everything!!  Thanks Channel Master, for making such an AWESOME product!!
