Good OTA DVR December 19, 2018
Reviewer: HRB from Texas
Unit works well for intended purpose. Be advised that recorded shows will be difficult to use on other devices as the method of recording is atypical of the system used by other machines of this class.

Program guide is a plus.

Works well October 11, 2018
Reviewer: Joe Robins Jr from Greenville SC
I needed a simple tuner/dvr to pickup a second antenna aimed away from my main 8 bay which does a great job for all but this one channel that broadcasts in HD. Combining antennas was not my answer. The recorder is good, I am using Sandisk ultrafit 32GB 3.0 with no glitches so far. The remote is like my DVR+ so it is easy to jump to this box. Channel Master is the obvious choice for serious OTA needs

7004 converter box review July 30, 2018
Reviewer: Rnesz from Atlanta
Works great with just minimal non-amplified antenna in basement. Much improved over previous 7001 unit which quit after minimal use.Hopefully this one has a longer life.  Minimal instructions but not hard to figure out.  Just make sure to scroll down to channel scan before checking antenna strength and quality.

Many channels, Program descriptions limited July 30, 2018
Reviewer: Christine from Moscow, ID
I purchased this because my old and trusty CM7000 converter boxes were failing. I was happy to see that the CM-7004 got about as many channels as my old CM7000 (which out performed all other boxes I could find) and more than the CM-DVR+. (The DVR+ splits the signal into two tuners so that there is less signal for each, hence fewer channels that can be received if you are in a fringe area like I am.)

My one main complaint is that the program descriptions are limited to only two lines unlike the CM-7000 and that looking forward to future shows to check their program descriptions is much more clumsy (i.e. the navigation to them) along with the limited number of lines for the program descriptions.

No instructions are provided to program your TV to be operated by the included remote which is annoying but I have not yet had a chance to ask Channel Master about that.

EXTREMEtenna 80, Ampilify, & Converter box June 5, 2018
Reviewer: Dale from Ocean City, Md.
The transmitters I want are west and northwest. I had another antenna and NBC was not coming in consistently. I purchased the EXRTEMEtenna80 hoping it would solve my problems. It did. I get 26 channels. I bought the Amplify because I'm running 4 tv's off one antenna. The Amplify is right at the antenna, 40 ft. to the 4 way spliter, then 30 to 50 ft to each tv. I bought the converter box to use as a Vizio tuner, so I could record shows and see the guide. I keep the antenna inside so I bought a speaker stand, mounted the antenna to it and put it in front of the sliding glass door. A little aiming and now I get all 4 networks and their sub channels. I aimed the antenna due west and got 72 channels some 115 miles away! They weren't consistent, so I went back to my original direction. So I have a complete tv distribution system and couldn't be any happier with the way it works.
