This is so much a better purchase then getting just a 5g filter because this removes all non tv interference. I notice tv interference whenever the neighbor would drive is car in and rev is motor. Now that issue is gone with this filter.
The OBTV filter worked for my signal pixilation problem. As LTE towers moved into the area, my signals got worse and worse. I didn't figure it out until now. So glad there is a product that addresses this problem. Do know that if you have an existing weak signal, adding anything such as a splitter, connecters, filters will weaken the signal somewhat. So if you lose channel signal, don't blame the filter. You probably need an amplified antenna or a reevaluation of your coaxial system (splitters, long coaxial runs etc.) to make sure you are not losing signal there.
Fast efficient shipping. High-quality, robust product at a very fair price. I was hoping the high-pass 3dB point at the start of the UHF range would have been closer to 470Mhz, but I am still hopeful this will eliminate most of the commercial-band interfernce I am experiencing.
I was having issues with reception on my Tablo DVR. Recordings were getting broken up, sound would cut in and out, and occasionally there was pixelation. Since I can see a cell tower between my house and the TV towers up on the hill, and there are also multiple radio station towers around my area, and on top of that, we are in an airport landing path. Well, the giant all in one Out Of Band filter really really helped. We very rarely get a broken recording - and it seems only when military jets are flying around, or due to sand storms. I am very very happy I bought the filter, and trust Channel Master for my antenna needs!
Obviously without real equipment I couldn't prove which frequency range was causing my issues, but during the last week I with the OBTV Filter installed I haven't had a single cutout. I'm only a few miles from the antennas, but there was consistent interference that would blank out a signal with 33 db snr. Very annoying. OBTV filter fixed up the whole thing.
