Mini-8 amp

just purchased this unit and got it installed and started picking up several stations that were on the fringe before.

Great powered splitter

I currently use a mini 8 to take my backyard unpowered TV antenna, and using approximately 120 ft of RG-6 as the input to the mini 8, and I I am currently using 6 of the 8 available outputs to drive HDTV's inside of my home. This product works great in this situation. All of the HD channels have an exceptional HD picture, and the non-HD channels work very well, too. This installation is approximately 60 miles north of Austin, Texas, and I pick up all of the major channels from the Austin market in excellent viewing quality.

Amazing Improvement

When I built my home 35 years ago, I installed antenna and rotor on the roof, and antenna coax plugs on just about every wall. All cables lead to a panel with splitters and an amp. It was designed before digital tv. When the switch happened, I lost many channels. Thinking then that I needed to go cable tv. Did the cable for some years, but as prices rose, I went to streaming and again, as prices rise, I decided to revamp my coax cable panel. I didn't need my antenna split 24 ways with unpowered splitters. I installed the Ultra Mini 8 and attached my 5 tv's to it. My old set up, I would receive approx 33 DTV channels and lose them in bad weather. Now I receive over 100 DTV channels and the reception on most is very solid. My TV market is in the midwest between Milwaukee and Chicago.

PROFESSIONAL QUALITY EXCELLENCE

This is a no-nonsense DTV Signal Distribution Amplifier. I replaced a low-cost "box store" unit with the 8-Port version of this series from Channel Master - what a difference!

TRUE PROFESSIONAL-GRADE QUALITY

If you are looking for excellence in terms of distribution amplifier performance for your Digital TV Antenna system, then buy this one. I installed the 8-Port version in my home, replacing a relatively low-quality "box store" unit and - WOW! - what a difference! The signal to each of the 5 TV's on my system improved dramatically in terms of sharpness without any jitter or pixelation issues. I actually compared the picture quality of the same local TV channel between the TV Antenna input and a digitally-streamed input for that same channel received via the Internet on the same TV and could not discern any difference in picture quality whatsoever - and the streamed input was hard-wired to my Router, not broadcast via Wi-Fi. This is what happens when you step up to PROFESSIONAL-quality components in lieu of - well... junk. CHANNEL MASTER never lets me down. My advice - do not compromise - run with the BEST. FJT-OHIO
