Excellent Replacement for Old Style Controlle

I acquired this controller to replace an old style controller that has a knob to set direction. Unlike the old controller, the new one is quiet, accurate, and doesn’t weigh as much as a small car. The new controller has a feature that can automatically recalibrate the rotator after several rotations. The degree readout on the front panel is invaluable to me. The remote control is really convenient. I use this controller with an old 3-wire rotator sold by Radio Shack many years ago, and it should work with any 3-wire rotator branded by Channel Master, Radio Shack, and others. I use it to position a 1-meter loop receiving antenna with excellent results. Well done, Channel Master!

Fix

Just what I needed. The previous unit stopped working so I was unable to rotate the antenna for best reception and could only bring in one scratchy station. After connecting to the new unit I received 16 channels. A world of difference in a rural community!

replacement for old antenna rotator control u

This new one replaced one from 2000. The box is much larger and has blue numbers which are a little hard to see, it does not have a power supply but a direct plug in which eliminated some of the congestion on the power strip, also the remote is smaller than the old one. No other option other than to get it from Channel Master but they gave me 10% off for being a prior customer. I appreciated that.

Nice upgrade from worn out rotator control un

Bought this to replace an old worn out Radio Shack Archerotor 15-1225B Antenna Rotator Unit that had the movement of the dial partially stripped. Set up was fairly straightforward for me as the existing 3 wires that were being used with the previous rotator unit were plug and play with this unit. Product works exactly as described! Just make sure that your TV antenna is pointed to magnetic north before synchronizing the control unit. If you don't, the control unit will still work, but the compass heading of the TV antenna compared to the displayed compass heading on the control unit will be different/offset.
