We tried a different mast from the hardware store to extend our antenna, and every time the wind blew the antenna would rotate lose reception. This mast fit perfectly with the existing channel master mast we already had in place, now the antenna is able to get far away channels and will not likely rotate next time the wind blows!

The 5' antenna mast is a solid piece . It is made of heavy gauge steel it is notched in case you have to add an extension . As with all channel master products I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy again. If you need help with an OTA antenna Channel Master delivers and then some.
