In most cases we see an average of about 2 days worth of guide information/data from all broadcasters.

The maximum limit is 64 timers. The best way to explain it is that the DVR+ allows 64 rules to be set as a maximum. A repeating timer(Series and Manual Recording) is one rule. All of the individual programs in the series are NOT counted to this limit, so 1 Series/Manual Recording equals 1 Timer. The Default Late Time will always have priority over Default Early Start when any type of conflict exists.

Historical note: This article was marked as a draft in the legacy Zendesk Help Center. The information below is preserved from that article for reference.

Channel Master's DVR+ server receives updated EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information every week starting at 5:00 PM MST Wednesday until 5:00 PM MST Thursday. Your DVR+ will automatically update with the most available EPG information during the window of 5:00 PM MST Wednesday to 5:00 PM MST Thursday as long as your DVR+ is connected to the internet. Please avoid manually refreshing the EPG, running a full or manual channel scan, hide/unhide channels and the default factory reset unless it is during the window of 5:00 PM MST Wednesday to 5:00 PM MST Thursday. If there is a need to manually refresh the EPG, run a full or manual channel scan, hide/unhide channels or the default factory reset on any other day apart from the window of 5:00 PM MST Wednesday to 5:00 PM MST Thursday, your DVR+ will only have PSIP(Broadcaster provided information, about 2 days worth) until the coming Wednesday.

This coming Wednesday after 5:00 PM MST please complete the following, if your DVR+ guide information is missing or not updating on its own: 1. Confirm that you have the correct/current ZIP code entered under Menu>Settings>Time & Date. 2. Confirm that your internet connection is active by going to Menu>Settings>Network Setup. At the bottom of the Network Setup window you'll see Wired Connection Status, Wireless Connection Status and Internet Connection status. You need to have either Wired Connection Status(Ethernet) or Wireless Connection Status(Wi-Fi) say "Connected" and Internet Connection Status needs to as well say "Connected." Once you've confirmed that you have 2 of the 3 items showing "Connected" you can refresh your guide. 3. To refresh your guide info, please go to Menu>Settings>Channel Setup>Antenna Channels>Refresh Internet Guide Data>Confirm. Once you select Confirm you'll be returned to the previous Antenna Channels menu and it will not look like anything is happening on the DVR+, but the update is happening in the background. It will take about 45 minutes to an hour complete. After that time frame, you can check to make sure that all of the guide information is now populated in your guide.

NOTE: If you receive an error message about your internet connection after selecting Confirm on Refresh Internet Guide Data you may need to refresh your internet connection by performing a power cycle(remove power cable from the back of the DVR+ for 10-15 seconds and then reconnect and allow to power back up to live TV). Once the DVR+ is back at live TV, please try again starting at step 2 to confirm internet connection, and Refresh Internet Guide Data again.

My DVR+ Remote will no Longer Control my DVR+ (CM-7500)?

There are various reasons why the remote control would not command your DVR+, and the common reason for the Original DVR+ (CM-7500XRC) flat remote with the 4 colored buttons across the middle would be batteries. This remote uses CR2032 coin style batteries. Depending upon the quality of the batteries and the amount of use, they may need to be replaced once or twice per year.

The most common issue/symptom with the 2nd generation remote (CM-7500XRC2--hourglass shaped with colored buttons across the top) not controlling your DVR+, is if it was working fine until Pairing it to your TV (See additional details below).

A rather rare reason for the remote control to stop commanding your DVR+ is caused by the external hard drive. This issue usually begins with intermittent long lags to obey commands, and the lag can range from a few seconds to a few minutes. This issue may get progressively worse until finally it appears that the DVR+ no longer obeys commands from the remote at all. If this is the case you can test by following the the instruction below.

• Unplug the DVR+ from power.

• Now physically disconnect the external hard drive from the DVR+.

• You can now reconnect the power to the DVR+ and allow it to boot up to live TV.

• Now test your remote commands without the external hard drive connected. If it still has long lag's, unplug the power from the DVR+ for a few moments and then plug the power back in.

• You now should have regained proper operation with remote commands.

• Now perform a default factory reset.

• Once it is booted back up to live TV, test the remote control operation.

• After you've confirmed that the Remote operation is normal, you can reconnect the external hard drive and test. If it once again, begins to exhibit remote control lag you'll want to consider that the external hard drive could be going bad.

Remote Control Worked Fine Until I Tried to Pair it to my TV (CM-7500XRC2)

• Clear all user presets and set to factory default configuration. 1. Press and hold the setup button until it blinks 2 times, then release and press 980. The power button should now blink 4 times. 2. Press and hold the Setup button until it blinks 2 times, then release and press 977. The power button should now blink 4 times. 3. Test the remote operation. If no response, proceed to #4. 4. Repeat step 2 and test. May take up to 4 times.
