The Channel Master Simple Remote is designed to function as an alternative remote control for Apple TV devices (4th Generation and 4K). The Simple Remote provides Apple TV users a more conventional remote control user experience with up, down, left and right navigation buttons. The Simple Remote uses IR technology (not Bluetooth) which enables the ability to also control the volume up/down and the power on/off functions of most popular televisions or soundbars. The Simple Remote is pre-programmed to work with Apple TV devices out of the box or it can also be programmed to work as a replacement remote control for Channel Master DVR’s

Note: The Simple Remote control uses IR technology which means voice search(Siri) is not compatible and line of sight between the Simple Remote and the Apple TV is required.

One button missing...

I purchased this remote to replace the failing one from my 7600 Stream+ DVR. It works as advertised, however, I really miss having the BACK button in some of my streaming apps.

Works on both the 7600 DVR and the digital converter box from CM

The original remotes were the same for both the 7600 DVR and the (now discontinued) digital converter box from CM for my VCR. Both units still in service. This new remote OK on both. I've always had to keep the 7600 and the converter box in separate rooms to keep them from interacting with the same remote! My past experience with older equipment is that the remote wears out before the hardware gives up (regardless of the brand).

Digital reception is intermittent with drop-outs (locks up, quits, etc) where I live, but the VCR records everything and continues past whatever digital aberration caused the problem. At least I salvage most of the recording that way.

Great service

We were in need of a controller for our DVR which was no longer being made. Channelmaster suggested an alternate device which would do the job. They even sent instructions on how to link up the replacement to our old device. Worked like a charm.

I am pleased with this replacement remote. It may not have all of the features of the original remote but works quite well and is a much better alternative to buying a new unit.. It was easy to program per the included instructions. The HOME button pulls up the guide. Once you pull up the DVR recordings, you can use the up/down channel button to scroll a page at a time thru your recordings. I am pleased with my purchase.

Terrific Remote

I lost my original Channel Master remote and thought for the price I would give the replacement a try. Well, it performs just like the original. I'm so glad I decided to purchase it rather than a whole new unit. It was very simple to program. Thank you, Channel Master, for offering options!!!
