Coaxial Cable Grounding Block
Overview
Channel Master’s Coaxial Cable Grounding Block is designed for superior performance in Over-the-Air Antenna, Satellite and Cable TV installations where grounding coaxial cable is required.
It’s arguable for most who discuss if grounding your Coaxial cable will ultimately improve your OTA, Antenna, Satellite or Cable systems signal reception. Ask any professional installer and you might get mixed reviews however the National Electrical Code (NEC) requires that the antenna mast and the coaxial cable be bonded to the home's ground electrode system (GES), which is usually the ground rod installed at the power meter and breaker box. (A separate ground rod is not required, and is not recommended).
Using Channel Master’s Single ground block (CM-3274HD) allows you to properly ground your coaxial cable which will help to provide the strongest signal throughout your signal path.
