Channel Master to Offer Cost Effective, Next-generation Set-top Box Fully Certified with Minerva Networks Television Management Platforms

Low Cost Solution Enables Operators to Offer Blended Pay TV and OTT Services To More Subscribers Over Wide Range of Managed and Unmanaged Broadband Networks

Las Vegas, NV--(November 10, 2010) - - Channel Master, one of the nation's leading consumer electronics manufacturers, today announced a low-cost, high-performance Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) set-top box for IPTV and Broadband Television services.

The new Channel Master set-top box, fully certified with Minerva iTVManager and with the newly announced Minerva xTVFusion platform, is aimed at carriers deploying a mix of IPTV and broadband video services. The set-top box is based on the Sigma Designs 865X family of processors. Core features include multicast support (IGMP) for IPTV services, HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) support, video-on-demand support over both RTSP and HTTP, three USB 2.0 compliant ports, multi-format audio and video decoder support, optional stereo audio output via S/PDIF, Composite and HDMI video outputs, remote management and upgrade, fan-less cooling for low noise and high reliability.

The set-top box will have a target carrier price below $100.nMinerva's IPTV platform has been adopted by more than 200 carriers worldwide with more than 20 million homes passed. The Company has recently announced xTVFusion, a new platform which supports the delivery of blended Pay TV and OTT services over both managed and unmanaged broadband networks.

Operators deploying the Minerva xTVFusion platform in conjunction with the Channel Master set-top box will be able to offer compelling IPTV services over their core managed network and new live and on-demand Broadband TV services to subscribers with connections as low as 2 Mbps.
