Exact replacement of the old balun that was years old and badly deteriorated. Installed and operational. Top notch product and service!
The local tv antennas are 12 miles away on a ridge, and can be seen on a clear day from the yard with binoculars (they also have red flashers at night). Unfortunately the neighbors hedges block them from inside the house. I use an indoor diy antenna that works fine in clear weather but during heavy rain and wind loses many channels - (but storms even blocked satellite dish reception when used that).
This transformer helps overcome that enough that don't think will need to build an outdoor antenna. Still can lose some reception during heavy storms, but much better, and not sure an outdoor antenna would be be an improvement.
The picture is clearer too, with better contrast.
Appreciate it- thanks!
good price, good product, fast shipping, shorten the leads to suit your needs
Channel Master's balun matching transformer is a good value. It's made of good quality material and workmanship. Shipped fast and arrived early than expected. It picks up about 68 channels, unfortunately still no longer able to receive Channel 6 ABC in Philadelphia, unless the aerial antenna is reoriented. But then will not receive many other Philly and New Jersey channels. We thought the extended leads on the balun would help, but think that ABC changed back to low band VHF, while other stronger signals are from stations operating on UHF. Still recommend this product, and keep it in its plastic bag to help weatherproof the terminals.
Works well and fast delivery. I wish CM still offered a Yagi FM antenna.
