Chimney Mount

My chimney is 14' around instead of the maximum of 12', so I called their customer support line to see if I could get longer straps. While they do not offer the longer straps, I must say that their support was simply amazing! They treated me with respect and made me feel like I was important as a customer, and they really cared about helping to resolve the issue. They did offer a reasonable alternative and the delivery of the product was fast and efficient. Very few companies today offer this level of support.

Even watching a YouTube video didn’t completely work for me. You should also make sure the clamp is close to the eyelet where the strap comes around. As you tighten the eyelet nut the clamp will move close to the eyelet until it can’t then it will tighten the strap. It works perfect when it’s tight enough to hold the pole with antenna

We needed to use a YouTube video for instruction. The brackets are solid and held our antenna perfectly. The installation took about an hour.

The ordering and shipping were seamless, and the hardware's just what's described. Works great so far. Comments: the product description should make it clear the chimney circumference must be 12' or less; there are no diagrams in the box (you have to go to CM's website to find their installation guide, and there's no indication in the box that you should even look for one); the installation guide and photos are separate online, so you kind of need to print both or do a lot of scrolling to go through them; there's a yellow slip in the box with a mini-procedure for adding a setscrew to prevent antenna rotation, however the slip refers to a pre-drilled hole that's not there; the installation guide should make it clear you should do some preassembly before getting up on the roof and make sure you have all parts, tools, zipties, etc. I used bungee cords to hold the straps level while I marked the straps for bending/cutting. I wonder if over time the mast will work its way down and come into contact with the flashing or roof -- might need something to prevent this. Recommend putting anti-seize compound on the U-bolt threads in anticipation of future mast take-downs. Worked great though, and great people.

My chimney is stone but covered with woodframe and siding like the house. It is 14' around so the 12' straps were 2' too short to make it.
When I got longer szraps delivered I installed it but could never stop tightening thexstraps as they just bit into the wood and deformed it.
They should point out this is only good for brick chimneys.
