Overview

The Pro-Tube 30" Powder Coated Steel Antenna Mast is a 30-inch long, 18-gauge, heavy duty, powder coated galvanized steel antenna mast.  This mast is designed for commercial and residential mounting of TV antennas, wifi antennas, cellular antennas, weather stations, and more.  The Pro-Tube 30" Powder Coated Steel Antenna Mast is constructed of 18 gauge high-tensile steel tubing that is galvanized inside and out for maximum weather protection and rust prevention.  Most other antenna masts have a raw metal finish, giving an unprofessional and unfinished look to an installation. The Pro-Tube textured gray powder coat not only provides an additional layer of protection but also an elegant, finished look for high visibility installations and for higher-end commercial and residential properties.  (This mast is most commonly purchased with the Pro-Mount and Pro-Model Antenna)

Solid mast

The mast is significantly heavier than most. It is thicker and well coated to protect it from the elements.

Solid mast

This is a fine mast and has been more than adequate in terms of its finish and strength. If anything, I would have loved it to be a good foot longer to better accommodate clearing dormers and neighbor's peaks.

It's a 1-1/4"od , 30" long 18gauge steel pole

It's looks like a dark charcoal gray color. It's seems heavy for only 30" but that's because it's almost .050" thick. It will fit inside 1-1/2"od steel pole/pipe/tube, though it maybe a little loose depending on the wall thickness of the 1-1/2" pole/pipe. I slid this extension into my existing antenna pole j-mount and drilled a couple holes through them and bolted them together. That gave me about 24" extra height in my antenna...better signal strength on most channels except ABC affiliate WFAA channel 8.1, it sucks and always had a weak signal even when I was a kid. Luckily they now have duplicate channel 8.8 which is better.
