This is the best way to mount a mast in the attic.  I've used it four times and I never have any problems finding plumb.

Perfect for attic install August 18, 2016

I would not recommend this mount for anything but an attic install as it is very flimsy. With no wind it does the job fine.

Whoops - I ordered it wayyy too small, but it appears like a good mount.

Made my antenna installation easy! October 26, 2009
Reviewer: Lawrence Beaumont from Seattle
I had a difficult antenna mount in a very windy area. The eves of my house stick out 24 making a wall mount nearly impossible with any strength to it. I decided to use the flat railing of my deck for this mount for the base of the antenna mast to sit on and use a wall clamp mount to grab the mast at the eve which allowed it to clear the gutter. We just experienced 50 mph winds in my area and the mount proved to be solid."
