Door stop June 6, 2015
Reviewer: Roger Wharram from North Fort Myers, FL United States
How can you go from product of the yr to discontinued with no support?
Will the cm-7500 be without support in a couple of yrs?
I just purchased one but would still like support for my 7400.
I would think that we should have been offered a replacement at a reduced cost since they left us out in the cold with a very hot running door stop.

CM 7400 Issues March 5, 2015
Reviewer: Dennis Loeffler from West Bend, WI United States
I purchased the CM 7400 shortly before it was released for sale. Locking up has been an ongoing issue. I find that if the unit is left on 24/7 there are fewer lock up problems. When a lock up does occur, unplugging the unit for several hours to let it cool down usually solves the problem.
The unit sometimes does not respond to the remote, but if I keep pushing the desired button it eventually gets the message.
Clearly, the software could use some updating!

Unit is a Disapointment January 30, 2015
Reviewer: anonymous from Akron Ohio
It appears this product is really Not an over the air dvr. It seems to promote selling HD movies on the internet instead of Free tv! It is not what I had hoped for! The Tv Guide is lousy! It says TBA. on my favorite Channels! And there is NO way of Titling Programs. This a Very Poor Design! I would Not recommend this product.

I have had mine for 1-1/2 years November 27, 2013
Reviewer: John Miller from Delaware, OH
I am glad CM has decided to discontinue this product, but I would have preferred they correct the issues with the product instead. I have had many of the same problems as other reviewers and these are very annoying. When CM announces the upgrade, I hope they will offer existing owners a discount on price, because we will be trusting that CM has corrected the issues with the 7400 in the new model. \n\nIf this were a car, I would have been all over the dealer to correct the problems and would probably be driving another car by now -- however, so far as I know, this is the only DVR of it's kind for over the air broadcasts, hence, we are a captive audience.

Weak Tuner and gets extremely hot June 19, 2013
Reviewer: anonymous from Daytona Beach, FL
This is great for recording over the air television series. It has even caught the episodes that were not aired at the usual time slot. The only problems are the weak tuner and it gets extremely hot! My antenna signal is split equally several ways and all of my TV's get a great reception. This device won't get all the channels I get on the TV's and if this device doesn't show the signal strength as 100% we frequently get annoying freezes. Again the TV tuners do not have this problem. I also had this device lose the tuner settings on several occasions and after a rescan you need to reprogram the shows you want recorded. The worst part is if you do not want to pay for the TV guide you can only see the show line up about 12 hours in advance. I added a chiller mat designed for cooling lap top computers under this device and plugged the cooler into this devices USB port. So far it hasn't lost its tuner settings. I live in Daytona Beach Florida and all the stations are 40 to 60 miles away. I have a channel master CM4228HD Antenna mounted 50 feet in the air.
