How to raise it. June 14, 2017
Reviewer: Shellback Bill from Texas.
I haven't bought this specific product, but I have raised similar products.

You do not extend it on the ground.

You raise it unextended.   Secure the base section, then stand on a ladder and extend each section one at a time by hand. Keep your guy wires loose until it is fully extended.

BTW, I do plan to buy a telescoping pole soon.

Would recomend this to anyone that asks. May 19, 2017
Reviewer: Steve Christy from Eastern Oregon
As advertised, a well constructed robust product.
Shipped and received as promised.

I extended the sections and attached the buy wires while horizontal on the ground. Have helpers available when standing the unit up. Ship weight was only 38 lbs. but when the 8' sections are telescoped out to its full (length) it is not manageable by a single person.

Would recommend purchasing a spool of buy wire as part of your order, this is exactly the product you'll need to secure your new mast.

You might also want to outsource 'turnbuckles' to properly tension the buy wires and 'auger anchors' to attach them to from a local hardware store.

I am happy.

Works great December 13, 2016
Reviewer: nelson from Bunnell Fl
Couldn't be happier, they got it here fast, with no shipping charges,I had first tried to order one from
another company and they wanted to charge me a
165.00 to send it to me,so I went to channel master to see what they would charge, and they were cheaper for the mast,I guess if you want something go to the main company.

40 ft. telescoping mast December 13, 2016
Reviewer: Doug Valentine from Hudsonville, Mi.
I thought this mast was too expensive when I first saw it. However, after spending a week trying to put up a solid mast by myself I now feel it is well worth the money. It is relatively easy to put up and if your antenna needs a repair or replacement later, you can lower the mast after installation.
