Good indoor/outdoor antenna May 2, 2016
Reviewer: Dewane from Milpitas, CA
I live in an area (SF Bay Area) where the stations are about 38 to 50 miles away, and scattered all over the place, so needed an omnidirectional antenna. I put it outside where the satellite dish used to be mounted, on the same post, but in a direction that is generally line-of-sight to most stations.

This works well, however I do get some "airplane flutter" from a an airline flight path pretty far away, but it seems to be in the way. I might try to mount this in a higher place, like on our chimney, and see if that fixes it.

Great reception. I was only getting about 7 local channels with my satellite tv carrier but I'm now getting 27 with this antenna. I had no idea there were so many local channels. I'm pairing this antenna with PlayStation VUE and getting lots of channels for just $29.99/mo.

SMARTenna signals March 23, 2016

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many OTA channels available in my area.  Even though some of them were repeats, I was able to about three times more channels that I was getting with other antennas.

Totally Happy March 4, 2016

Switching from local cable to a satellite tv service provider cost us the local programming that airs the oldies and goodies tv shows.
After reviewing quite a few home antennas we chose the Smartenna 35/50 - - and I must say that we definitely made the right choice for our needs!  With the USB dongle from the satellite company, the antenna works interactively with the DVR and we are absolutely satisfied with this product!
The reception is as clear (in most cases) as what the satellite provides and the unit is almost unnoticeable setting above our television.
I would recommend this unit to anyone within 30 miles or so of broadcast television towers.

Smartenna December 30, 2015

I live 17.5 mi south of the Boston channel antennas and 18 mi north of the Providence antennas. I mounted this antenna on my roof and was rewarded with a very clear signal from all of my area channels. If you are in a suburban situation with antennas in several directions then this is a very good choice. This antenna actually worked pretty well indoors too but it becomes very directional in that application.
