Small but very responsive in typical living room setting with ambient lighting from outdoors. Happy with performance.

This extender allows the cabinet door to be closed and the DVR can be remotely operated even without direct pointing. Good product.

Effective Control of DVR+ April 27, 2017
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Las Vegas, Nevada
The Channel Master DVR+ is a way to have more control over one's viewing habits easily.  The DVR+ IR extender allows the use of the remote in the most effective way without having the DVR+ in view.  The Channel Master DVR+ and the DVR+ IR extender are extraordinary products well worth the purchase.

You'd think it would work better... December 14, 2016
Reviewer: BumMan from Dallas, TX
This IR Extender sounded like a great idea. And I think it is, but too bad it doesn't really work very well. We keep it in "line of sight" and you still have to be sure the remote is pointing directly at it, including pressing the buttons several times. Too bad...
