Good product, Not For My Situation February 2, 2015
Reviewer: John Whitney from Atlanta, GA United States
I have a very long run of coax from antenna to splitter serving TV and DVR+.  The Ultra Mini 2 did not help at all - reception was unchanged (still had dropouts, depending on the weather).  Multiple emails to/from Support resulted in the determination that an antenna preamp was needed, not Ultra Mini 2.  I felt the advertised description of the unit was misleading.  I have had good results with the DVR+ from Channel Master, so I thought this product would help.  I may try a preamp, or just live with occasional bad reception.  I am inside a large metro area.

CM-3412 2 Port HDTV Amplifier November 24, 2014
Reviewer: Paul Sexauer from Sevierville, TN United States
This unit is being used to drive two TV's, via long cable runs, from a common source (satellite receiver).  With 11 dB gain, it is more than sufficient for this application and has performed flawlessly.   The gain is sufficient to allow 2-way splits at each TV, should the need arise.   I highly recommend it for small applications such as this.

ENOUGH GAIN FOR ME. May 17, 2014
Reviewer: anonymous from Los Altos, CA
I use this product with a MOHU multidirectional antenna.  It's an expensive antenna, but it picks up all the channels in my area and a PBS channel 75 miles away.  My problem was that we have a big single level house with some very long runs to all the bedrooms and the office is 80+ feet from the antenna.\n\nThe long runs were degrading the signal significantly, and only the stations withing 25 miles were coming in over the long runs.\n\nOriginally, I purchased a product sold at Home Depot.  It was only around 18 bucks and claimed something like 18db of gain on the web site, but in the packaging, the specs listed something like 4.5 db of gain.  This was worthless, so I returned it quickly.\n\nI am now using this Channel Master unit to power a single line that is split to four runs that feed the other bedrooms and the office.  It works well.  Ultimately, I plan to use both amplification channels to a pair of splitters for a little extra boost, but it is working fine right now.\n\nIf I had one complaint, and it is really more of an observation, it would be, why does all this gear look like CB radio gear from the 1970s?  I don't really care, it works.

Lots of Power to do its job August 31, 2012
Reviewer: Michael McDorman from Charlotte NC
I installed the amplifier to ensure I got strong signals to the dvr and the HD1080 TV. The amp certainly met my expectations. But I was still having problems with cable.  TimeWarner techs were impressed with amp but the amp provided too much boost and put the signal out of TWC specs. They said this was not a slam on the amp, that they even use this amp up in Raleigh area. But it wasn't the right solution here. I am keeping the amp for future use
